About
Mr Mohamed Mussa
Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist practice in primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty, robotic-assisted surgery and complex reconstruction.

Specialist Hip & Knee Practice
Focused on Joint Replacement
Mr Mussa’s practice includes primary hip and knee replacement, partial knee replacement, robotic-assisted arthroplasty, revision surgery, complex reconstruction, management of periprosthetic fracture and prosthetic joint infection.
His advanced training includes a specialist fellowship in Lower Limb Arthroplasty and Complex Revision Surgery at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire, together with a visiting fellowship at ENDO-Klinik Hamburg, Germany.
Clinical Approach
Evidence-Led, Individualised Decision Making
Not every patient with hip or knee pain needs an operation. Consultation is used to understand symptoms, review appropriate imaging and investigations, discuss non-surgical and surgical options, and decide whether joint replacement is appropriate.
Where surgery is considered, the operation and recovery plan should reflect the individual patient’s anatomy, health, expectations and priorities.
Professional Activity
Research, Teaching & Clinical Leadership
Alongside clinical practice, Mr Mussa is involved in orthopaedic education, research and clinical leadership. His work includes teaching trainees and healthcare professionals and contributing to patient-safety and infection-prevention work.
